MS Orthopedics

1. MBBS degree recognised by the National Medical Commission.
2. Completed one-year rotating internship.
3. Permanent/provisional medical registration with any State Medical Council/NMC.
4. Qualified NEET-PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Postgraduate) with valid percentile for counselling.
5. Obtain eligibility certificate from RGUHS before admission.

The M.S. (Orthopaedics) program at Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Mangalore, is a three-year postgraduate surgical course designed to train competent orthopaedic surgeons. Residents gain practical and clinical exposure to a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions — from trauma and fractures to congenital and degenerative disorders. The training includes clinical ward rounds, outpatient services, emergency trauma care, surgical procedures including fixation and joint reconstruction, and academic discussions under expert faculty supervision.
