The MS Ophthalmology program at Bhaskar Medical College, Hyderabad, provides advanced training in the medical and surgical management of eye diseases. Training is conducted at the attached Bhaskar General Hospital, which includes ophthalmology outpatient clinics, operation theatres, diagnostic facilities, and inpatient care. Postgraduate residents gain hands-on experience in cataract surgery, glaucoma management, retinal procedures, corneal transplants, and emergency ocular care. The curriculum follows NMC and KNRUHS guidelines, integrating academic teaching, clinical case discussions, and surgical skill development. Residents participate in seminars, journal clubs, interdepartmental case conferences, and research activities. The program prepares graduates for independent ophthalmic practice, academic careers, and further subspecialty training in areas such as retina, cornea, or pediatric ophthalmology.
