1. MBBS qualification recognized by the National Medical Commission
2. Completion of compulsory rotating internship on or before the prescribed cutoff date
3. Valid NEET-PG qualification for the relevant admission year
4. Permanent or provisional medical registration certificate
5. Fulfilment of counselling authority and institutional admission requirements

The MS – Ophthalmology programme at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital provides structured and intensive training in eye care and ophthalmic surgery. Over three years, residents gain hands-on exposure in outpatient clinics, operation theatres, and inpatient services covering anterior and posterior segment disorders. Training includes cataract surgeries, refraction services, glaucoma management, retinal evaluation, and ocular trauma care. 1. Appear for and qualify NEET-PG conducted by the National Board of Examinations
2. Register for postgraduate counselling through the designated authority (CENTAC Puducherry / relevant counselling body)
3. Participate in choice filling and locking for MS – Ophthalmology
4. Seat allotment based on NEET-PG rank, category, and seat availability
5. Attend document verification with original certificates
6. Pay the prescribed fees to confirm admission
7. Report to the college and complete joining formalities
