MS Ophthalmology

1. MBBS degree from an NMC-recognised institution
2. Completion of compulsory rotating internship on or before the admission date
3. Permanent or provisional registration with the State Medical Council / NMC
4. Qualified in NEET-PG
5. Admission through centralised counselling as per RGUHS/NMC regulations

The MS Ophthalmology program at Navodaya Medical College, Raichur, is a three-year surgical postgraduate course designed to train expert ophthalmic surgeons. The department offers comprehensive exposure to outpatient and inpatient care, ocular surgeries, emergency ophthalmology, and diagnostic imaging. Training encompasses cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, retinal procedures, corneal transplants, pediatric eye care, and ocular trauma management. The curriculum integrates hands-on surgical training, case discussions, seminars, research projects, and journal clubs as prescribed by NMC and RGUHS. With a high patient load and well-equipped operation theaters, students acquire advanced surgical skills, clinical judgment, and proficiency in ocular diagnostics.
