At the college, the intake is 11 seats as per recent data. The fee for the entire duration is approximately ₹ 75,000 for tuition, according to one source.  The programme offers exposure in a government medical college environment which handles a broad range of ophthalmic cases, providing opportunities for clinical, surgical and outreach training. As ophthalmology is a high-demand speciality, completing this qualification positions graduates for roles as consultant ophthalmologists in hospitals, private clinics, academic institutions, and in community eye health programmes.
