MBBS degree recognized by NMC.
Completion of internship.
NEET-PG qualification.
Meeting reservation / state domicile / category criteria as per Gujarat state PG counselling.
Likely fulfilling any additional document verification and procedural norms of BMCRI or state PG body.

Minimum Education

Banas Medical College & Research Institute, Palanpur (BMCRI) is a relatively new medical college (established in ~2018) under a Public-Private Partnership model, affiliated with Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, and recognized by the NMC.
The MS Ophthalmology course is part of its clinical postgraduate offerings. According to “Banodoctor” (a trusted PG / seats listing site), BMCRI has 2 seats every year for MS Ophthalmology.
Students in this programme receive training in diagnostic ophthalmology (clinical assessment, slit lamp, fundus examination etc.), outpatient care of eye diseases, surgical procedures (cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, etc.), and emergency ophthalmic conditions. Practical exposure would be through the attached teaching hospital.
The curriculum spans 3 years: surgical rotations, theatre work, academic classes (lectures, seminars), hospital postings, case discussions, plus possibly research / thesis work (as per NMC norms).
