MS Ophthalmology

Overview

The MS in Ophthalmology program at Madhubani Medical College & Hospital provides comprehensive training in eye care and surgery. Residents gain hands-on experience in diagnosing and treating conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, corneal diseases, refractive errors, and retinal disorders. The program includes rotations in outpatient clinics, operation theaters, and specialized units such as pediatric ophthalmology and ocular trauma care. Residents are trained in modern surgical techniques, including microsurgery and laser-assisted procedures. Academic development is supported through seminars, clinical case discussions, journal clubs, and research projects. With exposure to a wide range of clinical and surgical cases, MMC ensures that graduates become skilled ophthalmic surgeons capable of providing high-quality patient care and pursuing academic or research careers.

Eligibility

• MBBS degree from an NMC-recognized institution.
• Completion of one-year rotatory internship.
• Valid NMC/State Medical Council registration.
• Must qualify NEET-PG examination conducted by NBE.
• Admission through BCECEB PG Medical Counseling (Bihar).
