MS Obstetric and Gynecology

The MS – Obstetrics and Gynaecology program at Dr. V.R.K. Women’s Medical College, Teaching Hospital & Research Centre is a comprehensive three‑year postgraduate surgical degree aimed at training competent specialists in women’s reproductive health, maternal care, and operative gynecology. The course integrates in‑depth academic learning with immersive clinical exposure in antenatal care, labor and delivery, high‑risk pregnancies, gynecological diseases, and surgical procedures. With a focus on evidence‑based clinical practice, students engage in outpatient departments, surgical theaters, labor wards, and emergency care under experienced faculty mentorship. The program equips graduates with expertise in managing normal and complicated obstetric cases, performing essential gynecologic surgeries, and understanding preventive and promotive aspects of women’s health. Training is aligned with KNRUHS curriculum standards and national regulatory guidelines, ensuring graduates are ready for clinical practice, research, and academic roles in tertiary care and community settings.

1. Must have a recognized MBBS degree (as per NMC regulations).
2. Must have completed the one‑year internship before admission commencement.
3. Must appear and qualify in the NEET‑PG examination with the required cut‑off for the year.
4. Must have permanent/provisional medical registration with NMC or respective State Medical Council. (Standard PG eligibility rule)
5. Must meet the minimum percentile requirement as defined for NEET‑PG counselling.
