Amala Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Thrissur is a reputed medical college in Kerala established in 2003, affiliated with Kerala University of Health Sciences and recognised by the National Medical Commission. The MS Obstetrics & Gynaecology program is a three‑year postgraduate degree that aims to produce skilled obstetricians and gynaecologists capable of delivering high‑quality care in women’s health. The department provides holistic services ranging from routine antenatal and postnatal care to management of high‑risk pregnancies, gynecological disorders, and family planning. The specialized clinical exposure encompasses labor room practices, ultrasound and Doppler studies, gynecology clinics, infertility management, and emergency care, all supported by multidisciplinary collaboration with neonatology, anesthesia, oncology, and urology units. Students also learn to screen for and manage gynecological cancers and participate in community health initiatives.
