MS Obstetric and Gynecology

SS Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (SSIMSRC), Davangere, offers the M.S. Obstetrics & Gynaecology program with extensive clinical exposure and structured surgical training. The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology manages a high volume of antenatal, intrapartum, and gynecological cases through well-equipped labor rooms, operation theatres, and outpatient services. Postgraduate students receive hands-on training in normal and high-risk pregnancies, operative deliveries, gynecological surgeries, infertility management, and family planning services. The curriculum follows National Medical Commission guidelines and emphasizes competency-based learning, patient safety, ethical practice, and evidence-based medicine. Academic activities include case discussions, seminars, journal clubs, and research methodology sessions. Dissertation work is a core component, promoting scientific inquiry and clinical research. 2. Completion of Compulsory Rotatory Internship
3. Permanent or provisional registration with NMC / State Medical Council
