MS Obstetric and Gynecology

Parul Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Vadodara (PIMSR), established in 2016, under Parul University, has expanded its postgraduate medical specialisation offerings to include MS Obstetrics & Gynaecology among its surgical disciplines. The program is intended to train specialists who can manage both the obstetric (pregnancy, labour, delivery, high-risk cases) and gynaecological (diseases of the female reproductive tract, surgeries, preventive care) spectrum of women’s health. Clinical exposure is provided through Parul Sevashram Hospital, the teaching hospital, where students can learn operative gynaecological procedures, management of normal and complicated pregnancies, emergency obstetrics, and gynaecological surgeries. The curriculum follows NMC guidelines and aims to equip graduates not only with surgical and clinical skills but also with competence in handling patient counselling, prenatal diagnostics, and women’s health policy/programmes. With limited seats, the course is competitive, focused on hands-on training, and includes exposure to modern infrastructure and diagnostics.

1. Appear for NEET PG (or equivalent postgraduate qualifying exam) and obtain a valid score.
2. Participate in postgraduate counselling (state / institutional) under Gujarat / Parul University, where you list MS Obstetrics & Gynaecology among your preferences.
3. Seat allotment based on merit/rank (NEET PG), category (General / reserved), and availability of seats in ObGyn at PIMSR.
4. Document verification, including: MBBS degree and marksheets, internship completion certificate, NEET PG scorecard, registration withthe medical council, identity proof, etc.
5. Fee payment & registration with the institute for the course.
6. Commencement of the course, which includes orientation, clinical postings, surgical rotations, etc.
