Overview

Under the M.S. Obstetrics & Gynaecology program, AIMSRC would aim to provide robust clinical exposure in maternal and women’s health care. The curriculum would combine inpatient and outpatient obstetric services, antenatal and prenatal clinics, labour and delivery management, gynaecological surgeries (both elective and emergency), neonatal care in collaboration with paediatrics, and family-welfare programs. Training would include hands-on surgical experience (caesarean sections, hysterectomies, laparoscopic procedures), prenatal screening, antenatal counselling, neonatal resuscitation, and critical-care obstetrics. The institute’s multi-specialty hospital would support high patient inflow, emergencies, and comprehensive maternal-child services, enabling residents to acquire surgical and clinical competence. Academic sessions, seminars, case discussions, morbidity-mortality meetings, and research opportunities in women’s health and community obstetrics would supplement clinical training. The program would aim to produce skilled obstetricians & gynaecologists ready for independent practice, hospital employment, or further specialization.
