1. MBBS degree recognized by NMC
2. Completion of Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI)
3. Permanent or provisional registration with State Medical Council / NMC
4. Qualification in NEET-PG with required percentile
5. Admission through KNRUHS PG Medical Counselling or approved management/NRI quota

The MS General Surgery program at Bhaskar Medical College, Hyderabad, offers comprehensive training in elective and emergency surgical care with strong emphasis on operative skills and clinical decision-making. Training is conducted at the attached Bhaskar General Hospital, a multi-specialty teaching hospital providing exposure to a wide range of surgical cases. Postgraduate residents actively participate in outpatient services, inpatient care, emergency surgeries, trauma management, and intensive care. The curriculum follows NMC and KNRUHS guidelines, integrating academic teaching with hands-on surgical training. Residents are trained in pre-operative evaluation, operative techniques, and post-operative management. Academic activities such as seminars, journal clubs, case presentations, morbidity and mortality meetings, and research work are integral to the program. The course prepares graduates for independent surgical practice, academic careers, and advanced super-specialty training.
