MS General Surgery

1. Completed MBBS from an NMC-recognised medical college.
2. Completed or expected to complete the rotating internship before the admission deadline.
3. Qualified NEET-PG with required category-wise percentile (General category ~50th percentile; relaxed for reserved categories).
4. Valid registration certificate (provisional or permanent) issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.

The MS – General Surgery programme at TSRMMCHRC is a three-year postgraduate degree designed to train competent surgeons for hospital, emergency, and operative care. The curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge with practical surgical training in subspecialties such as gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, endocrine, thoracic, trauma, and soft tissue surgery. Residents gain hands-on experience in preoperative evaluation, operative procedures, and postoperative management under the guidance of experienced faculty in a high-volume tertiary care teaching hospital. The programme also emphasizes research, surgical ethics, critical care, and multidisciplinary collaboration, preparing graduates for independent surgical practice and academic careers.

1. Qualify NEET-PG: Appear and secure a valid score in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Postgraduate.
2. Counselling Registration: Register with the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for All-India Quota and/or the State Counselling Authority for State Quota.
3. Choice Filling: Select MS – General Surgery at TSRMMCHRC during choice filling in counselling.
4. Seat Allotment: Seats allotted based on NEET-PG rank, category, and availability.
5. Document Verification: Report with original certificates — NEET-PG scorecard, MBBS degree, internship completion certificate, registration proof, and identity proof.
6. Fee Payment & Admission Confirmation: Pay prescribed fees to confirm admission.
7. Hostel Allotment (if opted): Apply and secure hostel accommodation after confirmation.
