MS General Surgery

Shridevi Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Hospital (SIMSRH), located in Tumakuru, Karnataka, is a private medical college established by the Sri Shridevi Charitable Trust to deliver high-quality medical education and healthcare services in the region. The MS General Surgery programme is a three-year postgraduate surgical training that prepares doctors to become competent surgeons through structured academic teaching, clinical rotations, and hands-on surgical exposure. The department of General Surgery is supported by experienced faculty and has access to modern operating theatres, emergency surgery units, and inpatient wards, enabling trainees to develop practical surgical skills in trauma care, abdominal surgery, soft tissue procedures, and peri-operative patient management. The training includes participation in diagnostic workups, pre- and post-operative care, and involvement in complex and routine surgical procedures under supervision. 1. MBBS degree from a recognised institution.
2. Completed or due to complete the 1-year compulsory internship by the specified date.
3. Qualified NEET-PG exam with a valid score for the admission year.
4. Registered or eligible for medical registration with the State Medical Council / NMC.
5. Participation in PG counselling through MCC (All India quota) and/or KEA (Karnataka quota).
