1. MBBS from an NMC-recognized medical college
2. Completion of compulsory rotating internship
3. Provisional/Permanent registration with NMC or State Medical Council

5. Must participate in KEA Karnataka PG Medical Counselling

The M.S. General Surgery program at AIMSRC, Bengaluru, offers comprehensive surgical training supported by advanced infrastructure, experienced faculty, and modern operating suites. Residents receive extensive hands-on experience in elective and emergency surgeries covering gastrointestinal, thoracic, vascular, endocrine, trauma, and laparoscopic procedures. The department includes modular operating theatres, ICUs, surgical wards, endoscopy units, and emergency surgical bays. Training includes clinical rounds, case presentations, morbidity meetings, journal clubs, and surgical skill labs. The curriculum emphasizes evidence-based practice, surgical ethics, and competency in pre-operative and post-operative patient management. AIMSRC also encourages academic research, conference participation, and publication. The program aims to produce confident, skilled, and ethical surgeons capable of independent clinical practice.

1. Register for NEET-PG and appear for the exam.
2. Qualify with required percentile.
3. Register for KEA PG Medical Counselling (Karnataka).
4. Upload documents and select AIMSRC – M.S. General Surgery during option entry.
5. Participate in all counselling rounds (Round 1/2/Mop-up).
6. If allotted, download the admission order.
7. Report to AIMSRC with original documents for verification.
8. Pay admission fees and complete academic & hostel formalities.
