Medical Assistant Course for Occupational Health Centre (MACOHC)

• Essential Qualification: Male/Female 10th Pass candidates with six months to one year of experience of working in Industrial/dispensaries of Qualified Medical Practitioners of Modern System of Medicine. Graduates will be given preference. Knowledge of English/Hindi/Gujarati is essential. Preference will be given to Candidates nominated by Industries.
• Nursing/Paramedics trained in recognized Nursing Institutes & working in Industries/NGOs/Agencies are eligible too.

Duration of the Course:

Time: 10 am to 5 PM
One Day (between 5th and 6th Sunday) for visit to Occupational Health Centres of Industries in and around Vadodara is mandatory.

Objectives:

• To identify and to train paramedical/health workers for performing as Medical Assistant in Industrial & Medical Health Centers of Gujarat.
• To equip, train and enhance skills, knowledge and attitude of Medical Assistant to perform efficiently and effectively in various industrial health and medical centers.
• To develop an efficient cadre of paramedical health workers who can team with medical professionals for better effectiveness in rendering health care in industrial and other medical centers of Gujarat.

Pattern of Training:

Considering the objective of the course, the candidates of the course will be put to study and rigorous training of Practical aspects of managing an Occupational Health Centre. Two visits to Occupational Health Centre is compulsory for all the Candidates and will be organized between 5th & 6th Sunday of the course.

Evaluation & Assessment:

The candidates having 80% presence will be allowed to take the examination. The candidates will have to undergo a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type of (written examination).

Certification:

A Certificate of Participation will be given by IAOH, Vadodara to delegates with satisfactory attendance.
