MD Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases

Vedantaa Institute of Medical Sciences, Palghar, offers the MD Pulmonary Medicine program with comprehensive training in the diagnosis and management of respiratory diseases, with a particular focus on tuberculosis control. The department provides exposure to outpatient care, inpatient wards, intensive care units, and pulmonary function laboratories. Postgraduate residents are trained in clinical evaluation, diagnostic imaging, bronchoscopy, interventional procedures, and pharmacological management of respiratory disorders. The curriculum follows National Medical Commission guidelines and integrates seminars, case discussions, journal clubs, and dissertation research. Residents develop expertise in evidence-based management of chronic and acute respiratory conditions. The program aims to produce competent pulmonologists capable of independent clinical practice, teaching, research, and leadership in respiratory medicine.
