Overview

The M.D. (Respiratory Medicine) programme at Bhaarath Medical College & Hospital is a three-year postgraduate degree designed to provide advanced clinical training in respiratory and chest diseases. The curriculum includes extensive exposure to case management, pulmonary diagnostics, interpretation of imaging (like chest X-rays and CT scans), lung function tests, and critical care support for acute respiratory conditions. Residents train alongside multidisciplinary teams in hospital settings, gaining hands-on experience in both inpatient and outpatient care. Faculty supervision and structured academic activities such as seminars, journal clubs, and case presentations help enhance clinical reasoning and research orientation. Graduates are prepared to work in hospital chest medicine units, respiratory care centers, public health settings, or pursue further specialization or academic roles.
