MD Radiology

Overview

The MD Radiology program at NSMCH, Patna, is designed to develop specialists in diagnostic and interventional imaging. The curriculum covers the principles and clinical applications of radiographic techniques including CT, MRI, ultrasound, Doppler studies, and mammography. Students gain extensive exposure to modern radiology equipment and diagnostic procedures. The program trains them to identify a wide range of pathological conditions across different organ systems and equips them to assist in treatment through interventional radiology procedures. The hospital’s diagnostic department ensures continuous patient flow, giving students hands-on experience in interpreting scans and collaborating with clinicians for accurate diagnosis. Research, academic discussions, and case-based learning further strengthen their expertise. Graduates are prepared to work as radiologists in hospitals, diagnostic centers, academics, or pursue higher fellowships in specialized imaging.

Eligibility

• MBBS degree from an NMC-recognized institution.
• Completion of 1-year compulsory internship.
• Must hold permanent/provisional registration with NMC/State Medical Council.
• Must have qualified NEET-PG.
