Completion of a one-year rotating internship.
Permanent/provisional registration with State Medical Council/NMC.
Must have qualified NEET-PG examination.
Admission through All India Quota counselling (MCC) or Assam State counselling (DME Assam).

About Course

The MD in Radiology at FAAMCH is a postgraduate program that develops expertise in diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures. FAAMCH, a government medical institution established in 2011, provides training through advanced imaging facilities, including X-ray units, CT scanners, MRI machines, and ultrasound laboratories. The department emphasizes both diagnostic and interventional radiology, enabling residents to aid in accurate disease diagnosis and image-guided therapeutic procedures. The program integrates clinical postings, case discussions, journal clubs, seminars, and research work, ensuring a balance of academic knowledge and practical exposure. Graduates of this program are equipped to work as radiologists in hospitals, diagnostic centers, and academic institutions, or to pursue super-specializations such as DM in Neuroradiology or Interventional Radiology.

Admission Process

Central Admission process by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), based on NEET PG entrance exam merit list. The MCC will publish the seat matrix, online application dates & deadlines and allotment schedule on its official website, for different admission round for 50% seats of MD/MS/Diploma courses through out India. The remaining 50% seats will be allotted through State Admission Counselling process. After online seat allottment, candidates need to report with required documents at their alloted institute within a given timeframe, failing which will null & void the alloted seat and it will be filled in next allotment round.
