MD Radiodiagnosis

1. MBBS degree from NMC-recognised college.
2. Completed (or due to complete) compulsory rotating internship.
3. Eligible NEET-PG score (with minimum percentile/cutoff as per category) for admission.
4. Valid medical registration (permanent or provisional) before joining PG.

Al-Ameen Medical College, established in 1984 and affiliated to RGUHS, houses a multi-speciality teaching hospital coupled with diagnostic infrastructure, where MD in Radio Diagnosis is one of the recognized PG courses. Over the three-year program, residents are expected to train in imaging modalities like X-rays, ultrasound, CT, MRI, etc., and learn interpretation of radiological findings in various clinical contexts. The curriculum and clinical exposure aim to build proficiency in diagnostic imaging — critical for accurate disease diagnosis and patient management. Given the hospital’s capacity and patient volume, students likely receive exposure to a broad spectrum of cases across internal medicine, surgery, emergency, obstetrics, paediatrics, etc., offering wide-ranging radiology experience. Upon completion, graduates are prepared to work as radiologists in hospitals, diagnostic centers, or continue for further specialization. The program adheres to NMC’s PG training guidelines under RGUHS, ensuring structured clinical rotations, academics, and hands-on experience.

1. Complete MBBS and compulsory internship; obtain provisional or permanent medical registration.
2. Appear for NEET-PG and obtain a qualifying score and percentile as per category (general / reserved).
3. Register for PG counselling (through competent authority / state counselling for Karnataka — typically via Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA)).
4. Choose MD Radio Diagnosis, Al-Ameen Medical College, Bijapur during choice filling in counselling (if a seat is available under your quota).
5. After seat allotment — report to college with original documents (MBBS certificate, internship completion certificate, registration certificate, NEET-PG scorecard, identity and category certificates, etc.) for verification.
6. Pay required fee (as per quota: general / private / management/NRI). For MD Radio Diagnosis, total tuition fee is cited as ~ ₹ 21.42 lakh for full course (private quota).
7. Complete admission formalities; begin academic and clinical training as per academic calendar of RGUHS / AMCH.
