Must hold an MBBS degree from an NMC-recognised medical college/university.

Must have completed compulsory rotating internship by the specified deadline (on or before 31st March of the admission year).

Must qualify in the national postgraduate medical entrance — NEET PG (or other authorized PG entrance as per NMC / RGUHS norms).

Seat allotment through merit-based online counselling by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), including all quotas (General, Management/NRI, etc.).

The M.D. Radio-Diagnosis program at AIMSRC offers a comprehensive three-year postgraduate training in diagnostic imaging and radiology, aligned with NMC standards and affiliated to RGUHS. The curriculum combines academic theory — through lectures, seminars, journal clubs, case discussions, CMEs, and continuing medical education — with rigorous practical training in imaging modalities at the institute’s attached multi-specialty teaching hospital and Advanced Learning Center. Trainees gain hands-on experience interpreting X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other imaging techniques; they also learn imaging-guided procedures and develop diagnostic acumen to support clinical decision-making. The program encourages research, publications, and academic growth, preparing graduates to serve as radiologists in hospitals, diagnostic centers, or pursue further specialization or academic careers. Overall, the course aims to produce skilled imaging specialists capable of delivering high-quality diagnostic and interventional radiology services.

1. Complete MBBS + Internship: Ensure MBBS degree and compulsory rotating internship are completed by the required date.
2. Appear in NEET PG: Register and appear for NEET PG (or other authorised national PG entrance).
3. Qualify & obtain rank: Secure a qualifying score/rank in NEET PG as per NMC / RGUHS minimal cutoff criteria.
4. Register for Counselling with KEA: Enrol for online counselling conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority — this covers all quotas (general, management/NRI, etc.).
5. Seat Allotment: Seats allocated based on NEET PG rank, quota, and seat availability (6 seats for MD Radio-Diagnosis at AIMSRC).
6. Report to Institute & Document Verification: On seat allotment, report to AIMSRC, submit required documents (MBBS degree, internship certificate, NEET PG score, ID, quota certificates if applicable).
7. Fee Payment & Admission Confirmation: Pay applicable tuition/fees as per quota type and complete admission formalities. (Fees ~ ₹21.42 lakh for entire course as per some sources)
8. Begin Residency/Training: Start academic and clinical radiology training as per the schedule provided by the college.
