MD Psychiatry

1. MBBS degree from NMC-recognized college
2. Completion of 12-month internship
3. Valid NEET‑PG qualification (General ≥50th percentile, reserved ≥40th)
4. Permanent registration with a State Medical Council
5. Admission via RGUHS/KEA PG counseling

This 3‑year clinical MD program integrates inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, emergency psychiatric care, child and adolescent mental health, addiction, and community psychiatry. The training structure emphasizes:

• Clinical exposure: Rotations in OPD, inpatient wards, emergency psychiatry, child psychiatry, liaison cases, and substance-use clinics
• Academic activities: Journal clubs, seminars, thesis research, and participation in events like World Mental Health Day and CME on Schizophrenia awareness
• Case-based learning & diagnostics: Proficiency in mental status exams, formulation, psychopharmacology, psychotherapy techniques, and forensic liaison
