MD Physiology

Overview

The Department of Physiology at Father Muller Medical College is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research, and clinical support services. The department is equipped with well-established laboratories for hematology, clinical physiology, neurophysiology, cardiovascular and respiratory function testing. Postgraduate students receive comprehensive training in experimental physiology, human physiology, and applied clinical physiology with strong integration to clinical medicine. Regular academic activities include seminars, journal clubs, integrated teaching sessions, and research methodology workshops. The department encourages participation in research projects, publications, and national conferences. Emphasis is placed on analytical thinking, teaching skills, and evidence-based understanding of physiological principles, preparing graduates for careers in medical education, research, and allied biomedical fields.

Eligibility

1. MBBS degree from an NMC-recognized medical college
2. Completion of 12-month compulsory rotatory internship by the prescribed cutoff date
3. Permanent/Provisional registration with NMC or State Medical Council
4. Qualification in NEET-PG
5. Admission through KEA PG Medical Counselling (Karnataka Examination Authority)
