The M.D. Pharmacology program at Vilasrao Deshmukh Government Medical College, Latur is a three-year postgraduate course designed to build expertise in the science of pharmacology, including drug mechanisms, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and rational therapeutics. The department has well-equipped laboratories such as experimental pharmacology, clinical pharmacology, and research labs, supporting both teaching and research activities. Students participate in advanced lectures, laboratory experiments, seminars, journal clubs, and research projects to understand safe and effective use of medicines in patient care. With an intake of 2 students per year, the curriculum is structured to meet MUHS standards and prepares graduates for academic careers, research roles, clinical pharmacology positions, and further specialization if desired.
