MD Pediatrics

1. MBBS degree recognised by NMC
2. Completion of one-year compulsory rotating internship on or before the prescribed cut-off date
3. Qualified NEET-PG examination
4. Permanent/Provisional registration with NMC / State Medical Council
5. Admission through centralised counselling as per State / All-India quota norms

The M.D. Paediatrics program at Khaja Bandanawaz University, Kalaburagi is a three-year postgraduate clinical residency conducted in accordance with NMC postgraduate medical education regulations. The program provides comprehensive training in neonatology, general paediatrics, paediatric infectious diseases, nutrition, growth and development, immunisation, and emergency paediatric care. Residents receive extensive hands-on exposure through outpatient services, inpatient wards, neonatal intensive care units (NICU), paediatric intensive care units (PICU), and emergency services. Academic activities include seminars, case discussions, journal clubs, clinical audits, research methodology, and mandatory dissertation work. Graduates are well prepared for independent paediatric practice, academic roles, public health services, and super-speciality training (DM/Fellowships).
