MD Pediatrics

Overview

Parul Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (PIMSR) is a constituent college of Parul University, established in 2016. The MD Pediatrics program is one of several postgraduate medical specializations introduced as the institute expanded its offerings. Students in MD Pediatrics receive clinical training in the Parul Sevashram Hospital, a multispeciality teaching hospital, gaining exposure to pediatric wards, neonatal care, emergencies, growth and development assessment, nutrition issues, immunization, and community child health programs. Faculty include pediatric specialists, and students are expected to participate in both outpatient and inpatient care, diagnostics, and preventive pediatric health. The curriculum is designed to meet the standards set by NMC, combining theory, clinical exposure, and possibly research/academic components. The institute emphasizes experiential learning, skills lab training, and interaction with real‐world cases to prepare graduates for careers in hospital pediatrics, teaching, or further specialization.

Eligibility

• Must have an MBBS degree recognised by the appropriate medical council. 
• Must have completed the compulsory rotating internship. 
• Must qualify in NEET-PG and meet the cut-off/merit requirements. (All MD specialities require this)
