Overview

The MD – Pathology program at NCR Institute of Medical Sciences, Meerut, is a comprehensive three‑year postgraduate course designed to produce competent specialists in pathology and laboratory medicine. The Department of Pathology at NCRIMS is well‑equipped with modern diagnostic and teaching facilities and bridges clinical and non‑clinical disciplines by combining diagnostic work with academic learning. Residents are trained to analyse and interpret disease patterns, conduct laboratory tests, perform histopathological and cytopathological examinations, and support clinical decision‑making. Regular academic activities such as seminars, journal clubs, and inter‑departmental discussions enhance diagnostic reasoning and research skills. The training prepares graduates for roles in diagnostic laboratories, hospital pathology departments, research, teaching, and further specialisation.
