Overview
AIMS Bellur offers MD Pathology as part of its comprehensive postgraduate medical education program. The Pathology department provides students with training in morbid anatomy, histopathology, cytopathology, hematology, immunopathology, clinical pathology, and related diagnostic techniques — critical for disease diagnosis, laboratory services, and academic teaching. The institute is backed by a large teaching hospital (with reportedly over 1,000+ beds), ensuring exposure to diverse clinical cases and access to specimens necessary for pathological study and practical training. The campus offers hostel accommodation for PG students and adequate infrastructure (labs, teaching-hospital facilities, library, research labs) to support both theoretical and practical aspects of pathological training. Graduates from this course are prepared for careers in diagnostic pathology, hospital lab work, research, teaching in medical colleges, or further specialisation. Given the evolving healthcare environment, having an MD in Pathology from AIMS can provide solid credentials for academic, clinical pathology, or lab-based career paths.
