MD Pathology

The MD in Pathology at GMC Jammu is a rigorous three-year postgraduate degree designed to develop expertise in diagnostic pathology. Candidates engage in a detailed study of general and systemic pathology, histopathology, cytology, immunohistochemistry, haematology, and laboratory management. The training emphasises hands-on experience with specimen examination, microscopic diagnosis, autopsies (where applicable), lab safety, research methodology and reporting. 1. Complete MBBS degree and internship, register with Medical Council.
2. Appear for and obtain a qualifying score in the NEET PG examination.
3. Register for the postgraduate counselling process (state quota/all-India quota as applicable for Jammu & Kashmir).
4. During counselling, select GMC Jammu (MD Pathology) among preferences. Seat allotment is based on rank, category, eligibility and availability of seats.
5. On seat allotment, report to the college with the required documents (MBBS certificate, internship certificate, NEET PG scorecard, registration certificate, identity proof, domicile certificate if applicable).
6. Pay the programme fee, complete admission formalities (registration, department assignment) and begin the course as per the schedule.
