MD Pathology is a three-year postgraduate programme designed to train doctors to become specialists in the diagnosis of diseases through laboratory methods. Students learn to process and interpret biological samples, perform biopsies, cytology, autopsy procedures, haematology, microbiology (in many setups), and immunologic/pathologic investigations. The training combines theoretical knowledge (disease mechanisms, molecular pathology, lab techniques) with ample practical exposure in labs and hospital settings. Graduates are expected to be able to provide diagnostic reports, liaison with clinicians for patient management, and possibly engage in research in pathology. For AFSMRC: being part of Al-Falah University, the institute is likely to have pathology labs, faculty, and hospital linkages, providing exposure to clinical and diagnostic pathology. 1. Appear for NEET-PG (National Eligibility Entrance Test for Postgraduate Medical programmes).
2. Get the required score/rank in NEET-PG.
