MD Pathology

Overview

Nootan Medical College & Research Centre, Visnagar is a private medical college affiliated to Sankalchand Patel University and approved by the NMC. It has modern laboratories and diagnostic facilities as part of its training hospital, enabling hands-on exposure for PG students. The pathology department includes facilities for histopathology, hematology, microbiology, cytopathology etc., and students are involved in both routine diagnostic work and academic research. The MD Pathology course incorporates theoretical instruction, lab practicals, diagnostic work, seminars, and a research thesis component, across three years. Students are trained to interpret slides, lab tests, cytology, and pathological specimens, linking lab findings to clinical scenarios. Eligibility

• Must have an MBBS degree from a recognised college/university.
• Must have completed a 1-year mandatory rotating internship. 
• Must be registered (permanent or provisional) with the National Medical Commission (or relevant State/Medical Council).
• Qualify in the NEET PG exam. 
• Meet any minimum percentage/grade requirements as per category (General / Reserved) as per NEET PG & college/state norms. (Though a specific % was not found in our source for this course at Nootan)
