MD Pathology

Overview

• Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur is a well-established government medical institution with a strong Department of Pathology. The Pathology department was set up in 1964; it carries out both undergraduate (MBBS, BDS, etc.) and postgraduate teaching.
• The facilities include a fully equipped laboratory for histopathology (operative specimens, biopsies), cytology, immunohistochemistry, and hematology. There is also a model blood bank.
• The MD in Pathology program offers students exposure to a wide variety of cases (inpatient, outpatient, surgical specimens, post-mortems), allowing considerable diagnostic and research experience. There is a reasonable patient load, which helps in training in routine and advanced pathological diagnostics. The program also includes thesis / research work, seminars, and departmental teaching under experienced faculty.

Eligibility

• MBBS degree or equivalent from a recognised college. 
• Completed the one-year internship by a specified deadline. 
• Registered (or eligible for registration) with NMC / State Medical Council.
• Qualifying NEET PG exam, achieving required percentile / cutoff as per category.
• Fulfillment of domicile / category requirements if applying under State Quota.
