MD Microbiology

SS Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (SSIMSRC), Davangere, offers the M.D. Microbiology program with a strong emphasis on diagnostic excellence, infection control, and academic training. The Department of Microbiology is equipped with modern laboratories, culture facilities, biosafety measures, and teaching resources required for advanced microbiological investigations. The curriculum follows National Medical Commission guidelines and focuses on competency-based education, antimicrobial stewardship, and hospital infection control practices. Postgraduate students receive hands-on training in bacteriology, virology, mycology, parasitology, and immunology, along with exposure to clinical microbiology services. 2. Completion of Compulsory Rotatory Internship
3. Permanent or provisional registration with NMC / State Medical Council
