Zydus Medical College & Hospital, Dahod, offers MD in Microbiology as a postgraduate medical specialisation to train doctors in diagnosing infectious diseases, laboratory techniques, and public health microbiology. The program spans three years and includes rigorous theoretical learning and practical training in microbiology labs, covering bacteriology, virology, mycology, parasitology, antimicrobial susceptibility, lab safety, and quality control. Students are exposed to diagnostic microbiology in the attached teaching hospital, where they handle real clinical samples under supervision.
