MD General Medicine

1. MBBS degree from an NMC-recognised institution
2. Completion of rotating internship on or before the prescribed date
3. Qualified NEET-PG with the required category-wise percentile
4. Valid medical registration certificate (provisional or permanent)

The MD – General Medicine programme at TSRMMCHRC is a comprehensive three-year postgraduate course designed to develop skilled physicians capable of managing complex medical conditions. Residents receive extensive exposure to inpatient and outpatient care in a tertiary care teaching hospital, managing both acute and chronic illnesses. The programme emphasizes clinical reasoning, evidence-based medicine, diagnostic skills, and multidisciplinary care. Training includes emergency medicine, intensive care, specialty clinics, ward rounds, and academic activities such as seminars and case discussions. Residents are also encouraged to participate in clinical research and continuous medical education. 2. Register for counselling through the Medical Counselling Committee (AIQ) and/or Tamil Nadu State Counselling Authority
3. Choice filling for MD – General Medicine at TSRMMCHRC
4. Seat allotment based on NEET-PG rank, category, and availability
5. Report to the institute for document verification
6. Pay course fees and confirm admission
7. Apply for hostel accommodation if required
