Overview

Medical College, Baroda is a premier government medical college in Gujarat, established in 1949, affiliated with Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. It functions along with Sir Sayajirao General Hospital, a large tertiary care facility providing a wide case load and excellent clinical exposure. The MD General Medicine course is designed to train doctors in internal medicine, equipping them with skills in diagnosis, management of adult medical conditions, handling emergencies, critical care, and outpatient treatments. The department offers exposure to subspecialties like cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, respiratory medicine, etc. Through rotations, patient rounds, OPD & IPD duties, residents also gain experience in research, academic interactions and ethical medical practice. The college emphasizes hands-on clinical exposure in both inpatient wards and ICUs/MICUs, as well as participation in specialty clinics and variety of disease profiles. Graduates emerge prepared for independent medical practice, hospital roles, academic or research careers.

Eligibility

• Must have passed MBBS degree (or equivalent) from a duly recognized medical institution. 
• Must have completed compulsory rotating internship. 
• Must appear for NEET-PG and obtain a valid score. 
• Fulfil any state or category-based reservation norms / cut-offs.
