MD Forensic Medicine

Must have completed MBBS with a 1-year compulsory internship.

Must have provisional/permanent registration under NMC/State Medical Council.

Must qualify NEET-PG.

Must undergo the AIQ/State counselling process.

Should meet the physical and medical fitness standards of the institution.

The M.D. (Forensic Medicine) program provides in-depth training in medico-legal examinations, autopsy techniques, forensic pathology, toxicology, and the application of medical science to criminal investigations. Students gain experience in preparing medico-legal reports, attending court proceedings, and conducting postmortems under supervision. The course emphasises ethical practice, evidence handling, and interpretation of injuries and causes of death. Training includes seminars, case discussions, research work, and collaboration with law enforcement agencies. Graduates are well-equipped for careers in medical colleges, forensic labs, government medico-legal departments, and legal consultancy roles.

1. Register for NEET-PG conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
2. Appear and qualify with the required cutoff score.
3. Participate in MCC (All India Quota) / State quota counselling.
4. Select M.D. Forensic Medicine during choice filling.
5. Receive seat allotment based on merit and preferences.
6. Report to the allotted college for document verification.
7. Pay admission fees and confirm the seat.
8. Begin the course per the university academic calendar.
