The M.D. Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy (DVL) program at Khaja Bandanawaz University, Kalaburagi is a three-year postgraduate clinical residency designed to produce competent dermatologists with strong clinical acumen and academic grounding. The curriculum follows NMC postgraduate regulations and provides comprehensive training in medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, dermatosurgery basics, cosmetology principles, sexually transmitted diseases, and leprosy management. Residents gain extensive hands-on experience through outpatient services, inpatient care, procedural clinics, histopathology correlation, and multidisciplinary interactions. Academic activities include seminars, case presentations, journal clubs, audits, and dissertation research, enabling evidence-based practice.
