MD Dermatology at AIIMS Bilaspur is a three-year postgraduate program aimed at producing dermatologists competent in diagnosing and managing a wide spectrum of skin and venereal conditions. Students will receive training in outpatient & inpatient dermatology, procedural aspects (like biopsies, excisions, laser therapy, etc.), understanding dermatopathology, immunodermatology, and managing sexually transmitted diseases. AIIMS Bilaspur’s program is small (limited seat count), enabling closer mentorship and good exposure. Clinical material is drawn from the associated hospital’s patient load, facilitating hands-on learning. The program follows the AIIMS syllabus / INI norms, ensuring the national standard of training. Graduates are expected to take up roles in hospital dermatology departments, skin clinics, teaching institutions, or even research.

1. Complete MBBS degree + compulsory internship, ensuring eligibility and registration.
2. Watch for notification of the INI-CET admission cycle for MD/MS courses.
3. Register, sit for the INI-CET exam (MCQ / computer-based).
4. Obtain an INI-CET rank/score sufficient to match or exceed the cutoff for MD Dermatology for your category. (Cutoff varies by year; recent closing rank for Dermatology at Bilaspur was ~ 422 in 2025 for the General category.)
5. Participate in counselling / seat allocation via AIIMS / INI-CET counselling system. Choose Dermatology among preferences.
6. Once a seat is allocated, complete document verification, pay the required fees, and complete other admission formalities.
7. Join the MD Dermatology program as per the schedule and begin academic + clinical training over 3 years.
