About Course
MD – Biochemistry is a postgraduate non-clinical medical programme designed to train doctors in the biochemical basis of human physiology and disease. The course emphasizes laboratory diagnostics, enzymology, metabolism, molecular biology, genetics, and clinical biochemistry applications relevant to patient care. Residents are trained in advanced laboratory techniques, quality control, interpretation of biochemical investigations, and integration of biochemical data with clinical findings. Currently, Shija Academy of Health Sciences (SAHS), Imphal offers only the MBBS undergraduate programme and does not conduct postgraduate MD/MS courses, including MD – Biochemistry.
