The M.S. in General Surgery program at Khaja Bandanawaz University, Kalaburagi is a three-year postgraduate surgical residency structured in accordance with NMC postgraduate regulations. The program provides comprehensive training in core general surgery, including gastrointestinal surgery, hepatobiliary surgery exposure, breast and endocrine surgery, trauma and emergency surgery, and basic laparoscopic procedures. Residents receive intensive hands-on operative experience, preoperative and postoperative patient management, and exposure to critical care. Academic training includes seminars, morbidity and mortality meetings, case presentations, journal clubs, surgical audits, and mandatory dissertation research.
