Eligibility
- MBBS degree (recognized by NMC) from a recognized institution/university.
- Completion of compulsory rotating internship by the cutoff date for the admission year.
- Possess valid MBBS registration (permanent or provisional) from NMC or relevant State Medical Council.
- Must qualify in the national postgraduate entrance exam — NEET PG — and meet the required percentile/marks for the candidate’s category to be eligible for counselling/seat allotment.

Admission Process:
- Complete MBBS + compulsory rotating internship (or ensure internship completion by the required deadline for admission year).
- Register and appear for NEET PG exam. Obtain required percentile/marks as per category (general / SC / ST / OBC / PWD) to qualify.
- Participate in online counselling/seat allotment procedure conducted by the relevant authority (e.g. for State quota / All-India quota/management / NRI quota as applicable). Seat allotment is based on NEET PG rank/merit.
- Upon seat allotment, complete admission formalities: submit MBBS degree & registration certificate, internship completion certificate, NEET PG scorecard, identity & category certificates (if applicable), pay tuition fee (as per quota), get registered with RGUHS/NMC as required. (Based on standard PG admission norms at BGSGIMS.)
- Join the 3-year MD Biochemistry course — attend academic classes, practical labs in biochemistry, participate in departmental CME (Continuous Medical Education) activities, practical and research work (if required), under the supervision of faculty in the Department of Biochemistry.
