MD (Ayurveda) in Swastha Vritta and Yoga

1. Admission to the BAMS programme is required
2. Candidate must have completed the eligibility requirements prescribed for BAMS admission
3. Admission to BAMS is generally through the applicable NEET-UG and AYUSH counselling process
4. Swasthavritta & Yoga is studied as part of the BAMS curriculum in the second year

Swasthavritta & Yoga is a Second Year BAMS subject focused on preventive and promotive healthcare according to Ayurvedic principles. The course covers healthy lifestyle practices, personal and social hygiene, nutrition, daily and seasonal regimens (Dinacharya and Ritucharya), Yoga, exercise, mental health, disease prevention and community health. It aims to develop an understanding of maintaining health, preventing illness and promoting physical and mental well-being through Ayurveda and Yoga.
