4. Participation in centralized DGHS/MCC counselling (for deemed universities).

The MD – Anaesthesiology programme at Symbiosis Medical College for Women (SMCW), Pune is part of the institution’s newly launched postgraduate medical offerings starting from the academic year 2025-26. The course aims to develop specialists proficient in anaesthetics, perioperative patient care, and pain management. Training includes advanced clinical exposure at the attached Symbiosis University Hospital & Research Centre (SUHRC), where trainees gain expertise in pre-anesthesia evaluation, intraoperative anaesthesia techniques, postoperative care, critical care procedures, and regional anesthesia. The department emphasises patient safety, advanced monitoring technologies, pain services, and emergency responses, supported by workshops and hands-on skill development. This programme prepares practitioners to deliver high standards of anaesthesia care across surgical disciplines and critical care settings.

1. Qualify NEET-PG with a valid score and obtain an All-India Rank.
2. Register for DGHS/MCC counselling (for deemed university seats).
3. Participate in seat allotment rounds based on rank and availability.
4. Accept the allotted seat for MD – Anaesthesiology at SMCW.
5. Report to the college within the stipulated dates.
6. Complete document verification and fee payment.
7. Undergo medical fitness check and enrolment formalities.
8. Commence academic training according to the academic calendar.
