Overview

Government Medical College & Hospital, Nandurbar is a government‑run tertiary care medical institution established to cater to the healthcare needs of northwestern Maharashtra while training future generations of physicians. It is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and recognized by the National Medical Commission. While GMCH Nandurbar initially focused on its flagship MBBS program, it has significantly expanded its academic offerings to include postgraduate broad‑speciality medical courses across major clinical and paraclinical departments. The Department of Anaesthesia forms a core clinical specialty, providing essential perioperative care, advanced anesthesia techniques, pain management, and critical care support. Students enrolled in MD Anaesthesiology experience hands‑on training in operating theatres, intensive care units, and emergency services, gaining clinical expertise in airway management, regional and general anesthesia, and patient‑focused critical care interventions. Through structured academic activities, practical exposure, seminars, and case discussions, the program prepares competent anesthesiologists capable of working in diverse healthcare settings.

Eligibility

1. MBBS degree recognized by NMC.
2. Completion of one‑year compulsory internship.
3. Valid NEET‑PG score for the year of admission.
4. Permanent/state medical registration at the time of admission.
5. Eligibility to participate in NEET‑PG counselling (All India & State quota).
6. Fulfillment of domicile/nationality criteria as per counselling authority rules.
