Overview
- The MD Anesthesiology program at Believers Church Medical College & Hospital (BCMCH), Thiruvalla, is designed in accordance with the regulations of the National Medical Commission (NMC) and Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). The department provides structured training in general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, intensive care, pain management, trauma care, and peri-operative medicine.
- Residents receive extensive hands-on experience through operating theatres, intensive care units, emergency services, and specialty surgical departments within the attached 700+ bedded multi-specialty teaching hospital. The program emphasizes patient safety, clinical decision-making, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Academic activities include seminars, journal clubs, case discussions, mortality audits, simulation-based training, and mandatory research leading to dissertation submission. Graduates are trained to function independently as anesthesiologists in tertiary care hospitals, critical care units, and academic institutions.

Eligibility
- MBBS degree from an NMC-recognized institution
- Completion of Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI)
- Qualified NEET-PG examination
- Permanent medical registration at the time of admission
- Eligibility as per KUHS and Government of Kerala PG Medical Admission Regulations

- Completion of admission formalities and joining of course
