Overview

    1. CIMS is a government-run medical college established in 2016, located at Yadapura village, Chamarajanagar district, Karnataka. The campus spans ~42 acres, and is attached to a teaching hospital — a tertiary-care facility serving the district and surrounding regions.
    2. The MD – Anaesthesiology program at CIMS offers a full-time 3-year postgraduate degree with an annual intake of 3 seats. The training combines theoretical knowledge and practical clinical exposure — including perioperative anesthesia, pain management, critical care, and involvement in a variety of surgical and emergency operations, thanks to the attached hospital’s broad service spectrum (ICU, operation theatres, trauma/emergency services).
    3. Given the hospital’s infrastructure and patient load, students have opportunity for substantial hands-on exposure, which is critical for anesthesiology training. As a government-institution under RGUHS and regulated by NMC, the course adheres to regulatory standards for postgraduate medical education.
