Overview

The M.D. Anaesthesia program at AIMSRC is a rigorous three-year full-time postgraduate degree affiliated with RGUHS and approved by NMC, designed to produce competent anaesthesiologists capable of handling perioperative care, critical care, pain management, and ICU duties. The curriculum combines theoretical learning — through lectures, seminars, journal clubs, CMEs and case discussions — with extensive hands-on clinical training at AIMSRC’s attached multi-specialty hospital and Advanced Learning Center. Residents get exposure to a broad variety of cases: surgical anaesthesia, emergency procedures, ICU management, pain and critical care — ensuring comprehensive clinical competence. The hospital’s infrastructure, experienced faculty, modern classrooms, labs and simulation facilities support effective learning and patient care. Through this program, graduates are prepared not only for hospital-based clinical work but also for academic, research, and critical-care roles — making them ready for independent practice or further specialization in anaesthesia or related fields.
